“You saved our cat from the fire! I can’t thank you enough!”
We use this phrase when we are very, very thankful. No matter how much we thank the person, it won’t be “enough”. Here is a similar phrase:
“I cannot overemphasize how important this is.”
No matter how much you emphasize it, it won’t be too much. This sentence would be used right before telling someone something very, very important.
「火事からうちの猫をたすけてくれたんだ！いくらお礼しても足りないくらいだ！」
とてもとても感謝しているときに使うフレーズです。ありがとうといくら言っても「十分」にはなりません。他に似たフレーズがあります。
「どんなに大事なことか、いくら力説しても足りないくらいです。」
どれだけ強調しても、やりすぎにはなりません。とてもとても大事なことを言う前に使う文です。
