“I know the test is next week. You don’t have to harp on about it.”
If someone keeps talking about a subject you don’t want to hear about, you can say they are “harping on”. Perhaps the talk is unnecessary, reminding you of something you haven’t forgotten, or perhaps it is just boring, a subject in which you aren’t interested.
「来週テストってわかってるから、くどくど言わないでよ」
聞きたくない話をずっと喋っている人がいれば、それは「harp on」です。その会話は、もうわかりきっていることや、別に必要じゃない事、興味がないので聞いてもつまらない話題だったりします。
