“Whatnot” pretty much always comes at the end of a list of things, even if it’s a very short list. It represents other things that are not included in the rest of the list, similar to “et cetera”. This lets you include a lot of things without saying the name of each one.
「この引き出しに美術の道具、文具、その他もろもろ入れている。」
「料理の後は、使った鍋やフライパン等などを洗ってください。」
Whatnot は、物のリストの最後に来ます（短いリストでも）。エトセトラと同じように、リストに含まれないものを表します。これで一つ一つの名前をあげずにすみますね。
