When an event is very important, usually because it’s a special occasion for a person we care about, we can express it with this phrase. It suggests we wouldn’t decide not to go to the event, even in exchange for the whole world, or even if everyone in the world said not to.
「バースデーディナーに来てくれる？」
「もちろん。世界に代えても行きそこなうことはない。」
大事な人の大切なイベントなど特別なイベントにはこの表現を使います。たとえ全世界に代えても、たとえ全世界の全ての人に反対されても、決して行かないことはないという意味です。
