“I don’t know. I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.”
We use this phrase to put off a decision or problem until later. When travelling, you don’t need to figure out how you will cross a certain bridge until you actually arrive at the bridge. In life, sometimes it’s a good idea to start something before you have figured out all the details, because the situation could change, or it would take too long, or you don’t have enough information.

「cross that bridge when I come to it」とは、決断や問題を後回しにする時に使うフレーズです。旅をしている時、その後たどり着く橋をどうやって渡るかはたどり着いてから考えればいいのです。人生においても、全てを把握していなくてもまず始めることが大事です。状況はどんどん変わるし、時間がかかるかもしれない、今持っている情報では足りないこともありますからね。
