Paul: Don’t worry. I’ll take care of him.
Taking care of someone usually means looking after their needs. If you take care of a child or animal, you give it food, a bed, and if necessary clothes. But we also use the same words to talk about solving a problem. The puppy in the first conversation will probably be fine after Paul has him treated by a veterinarian. In the second conversation, Fred is a problem that needs to be taken care of. Bad things will probably happen to Fred.

普通「Take care of（誰か）」は世話をするという意味です。子供や動物の世話をするとき、食べ物、寝る場所、必要であれば衣服などを与えます。でも、問題を解決するときも、この言葉を使います。上の例では、ポールが子犬を獣医に診せるので大丈夫なのでしょう。下の例では、フレッドは対処すべき問題になっています。これから、フレッドに良くないことが起こるでしょう。
