A father figure is a man who is not your father (including other male relatives), but fills a similar role in your life. A woman who is not your mother can also be a mother figure.

「Father figure」は父親（又は男性の身内）ではないけれど、父親のような役割を果たしてくれる男性です。母ではない女性も同じように「mother figure」になります。
