絶対知っているけどあとちょっとで思い出せない単語、名前などなどの情報は「on the tip of your tongue」と言います。言えそうなのに言えません。あとで思い出して「あ！やっぱり！」というでしょう。
When you can’t quite remember a word, name or other fact, you can say it’s “on the tip of your tongue”. You can almost say it, but not quite. You will probably think of it later and say, “I knew that!”
