“You won’t get away with this!” 「これはただじゃおかないぞ！」
“I can’t believe he got away with that!” 「よくそんなことして罰を受けなかった！」
銀行からお金を盗んだら、そのお金を持って現場から逃げないといけません。それに成功したら、お金をもって逃げた（got away with the money）と言えます。この表現は盗みだけではなく罰せられなかった犯罪や悪いことにも使えます。嘘をついて誰にも知られなかった、子供が妹にひどいことを言ったが怒られなかった、という場合などにも使えます。
If you steal money from a bank, you have to escape from the scene of the crime and take the money with you. If you succeed, you can say you “got away with” the money. But this phrase can be used for any crime or bad behavior that isn’t punished. If someone tells a lie, but no one ever finds out that it was a lie, that person “got away with” lying. If a child says something mean to his sister, but nobody scolds him, he “got away with” that too.
