To “get” someone often means to do them some kind of harm, whether it’s actual violence or a good-natured joke. If you get someone back or get someone for something they did, it’s revenge for what they did. You can also “get back at” someone.
「お兄さんが私が取っておいたプリンを食べたから仕返ししてやる。いい仕返しを考えなくちゃ！」
「私の父を殺したな！復讐してやる！」
誰かを「get」することはよく、暴力から害のない悪戯まで、何か悪いことする意味で使います。「Back」や「for」がついているなら、その人がしたことに対しての仕返しです。「Get back at」という言い方もあります。
