Take outにはいくつかの意味があります。レストランで食事を持ち帰るのもテイクアウトです。人をtake outするとはデートに連れていくということです。ただし戦場の敵に対して使う場合は殺したり戦闘不能にしたりするという意味になります。
“Take out” has many meanings. If you get takeout, you pick up food from a restaurant. If you take someone out, you take them on a date. Unless the person is your enemy on the battlefield—then taking them out would mean killing or disabling them.
