The Everglades is a huge wetland in Florida. Although it is often flooded in the wet season, lightning causes fires in the dry season. This cycle is natural. But human activities threaten the Everglades. Pollution is one problem. Another is new species of plants and animals brought to the Everglades by humans, such as the python.
