Rainforests are a kind of forest where a lot of rain falls. Most rainforests are tropical. They are very warm. More unique species can be found in the rainforest than anywhere else. We still haven’t discovered many plants and animals that live in the rain forest. But we are destroying a lot of rainforest every day. Some people warn that we could wipe out a plant or animal that could cure a deadly disease without even knowing it.
熱帯雨林はよく雨の降る森林です。ほとんどは熱帯地方にあり、とても暖かいです。熱帯雨林には他のどんな場所よりも多くの植物や動物が生息していて、まだ人間が発見していないものもたくさんあります。でも、私たちは熱帯雨林を日々破壊し続けています。命にかかわる病気を治せる薬の元になる植物や動物を知らずに絶滅させてしまうかもしれないと警告する人々もいます。
