“The sun rises over the horizon.”
“The plane rose into the sky.”
When you make something else get higher, you raise it. When it gets higher by itself, it rises.
There are many ways to use “rise”:
“Let the dough rise.”
“The price has risen since last time.”
「太陽が地平線の向こうから昇る。」
「飛行機が空へと昇っていきました。」
何かを上げることは「raise」ですが、それが自分で上がることは「rise」と言います。
「Rise」には色々な使い方があります。
「生地を寝かせます。」
「前から値段が上がりました。」
